Redesigning the RSPCA Website

A UX/UI Case Study

For this project I decided to draw from my love of animals to re-design the RSPCA website. Its style is rather inconsistent and I believed it would be a great opportunity to research the most effective components of website design.

I wanted this re-design to be feasible so I decided to maintain a flat design style similar to the original RSPCA design and its competitors. However, to differentiate the new design I combined elements of minimalism and re-invented the brands existing colour scheme. Additionally, one of my main goals in this re-design was to develop new avenues for animal adoption, highlighting pets who may be buried under new additions or younger animals. Hence, I created a quiz that allows users to answer a series of questions to be matched with their perfect pet. Additionally, I introduced the pet of the week award where a long-time member of the shelter is portrayed on the home page each week to garner attention.
